Lecithin - Lecithin, also a fatty food substance and is beneficial for reducing the high blood cholesterol levels to normal levels. Lecithin also increases the production of bile acids made from cholesterol, thereby reducing its amount in the blood. Egg yolk, vegetable oils, wholegrain cereals, are rich sources of lecithin.

Garlic Cloves - Regularly intake garlic cloves for a few days will help reducing cholesterol levels.

Vitamins - Vitamins B6, choline, and inositol are particularly effective in reducing the level of blood cholesterol. Wheat germ, yeast, or vitamin B extracted from bran contain high quantities of these vitamins, so persons suffering from high blood cholesterol should increase consumption of these things.

Coriander - Take 2 teaspoons of dry coriander seeds powder and boil them in one cup full of water. You can add to this decoction - milk or sugar to improve its taste. This could now act as a substitute for teas or coffee.

Onion and Honey - A mixture of Onion juice with honey reduces cholesterol levels largely. and works as a tonic for nervous system. It cleans blood, helps digestive system, cures insomnia and regulates the heart action.

Sunflower - Sunflower seeds contain a substantial amount of linoleic acid which is helpful in reducing cholesterol deposits from the walls of the arteries.

Neem - Take four leaves of Basil and two leaves of Neem (Margosa) and grind them with four spoons of water. Take this ground mixture empty stomach with a glass full of water.

Papaya - Person's suffering from this condition may eat some papaya daily empty stomach for at least one month.  And, don't take anything after this for at least two hours, and it will help you in reducing your blood cholesterol levels.

Onion, ButterMilk, Black Pepper - Finely dice an onion and mix it with 1 cup buttermilk along with 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (kali mirch) powder and drink.
