Home based Cures and Remedies are found to work pretty well in curing and treating dry skin problems. Some of these are:

Banana: Mash a ripe banana and add small amount of honey to it to make a paste. Apply this paste on your face. Keep it for 15 minutes and then wash the face with fresh water. It will improve your dry skin because it works as a moisturizer.

Poppy Seeds: Soak some poppy seeds for a night. In morning crush the seeds and then add some milk to it. Apply this combination on the face. It will help in maintaining the moisture of skin because of the natural oil present in the poppy seeds acts as a moisturizer.

Milk: Take two tablespoonful of raw milk. Gently massage with this on the face in upward motion for some time. And then clean the face with fresh water. It is helpful in keeping the skin moist. You can also try some variations of this remedy.

•  Add some salt in two teaspoonful of milk. Now apply this on your face and follow the same procedure as mentioned above. Avoid this remedy if you are suffering from pimple problems.

•  Take some peanuts and crush them well. Make a paste by adding this crush in two teaspoonful of milk. You can also add honey to this mixture for better results. The oil present in peanuts is helpful in the treatment of dry skin.

Milk Cream: Take a teaspoonful of milk cream. Add few drops of olive oil to it. Also add a pinch of turmeric powder to it. Now apply this formula on your face and keep it for 30 minutes. Now wash the face with cold water and observe changes in your dry skin. Milk cream acts as a moisturizer for skin and olive oil plus turmeric powder are helpful in the rejuvenation of skin.

Water: Water plays a vital role in the treatment of dry skin. Consume 5 to 6 glasses of water in a day.

Diet: Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Try to eat sweet food stuff; it will help in increasing the starch content of the skin that is necessary for maintaining moisture of skin.
