Home Remedies for the Treatment of Anaemia

Anaemia Menu

Some Common Home Remedies for Anaemia are:

Apple Juice: Apple juice, mixed with either sugar or honey, should be taken at least once a day, for the treatment of anaemia.

Honey- It is very good for an anemic person because it helps increase the hemoglobin in the blood. It is also rich in iron, copper and manganese - which are also essential for curing anaemia fast.

Green leafy vegetables: Green leafy vegetables like spinach (palak), lettuce, celery (ajwain ka patta), fenugreek (methi) etc. and other foods like broccoli and milk are the richest sources of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 and hence should be consumed in abundance.

Soyabeans: Soyabeans are a valuable source of iron, vitamin B12 and protein. A quarter cup of soya everyday in the form of beans or flour is highly effective in combating anaemia.

Almonds (badam): Almonds are a rich source of iron and copper, both of which are important nutrients which together help in the synthesis of hemoglobin, and hence anaemia.
