DefinitionArthritis is a joint disorder that causes pain and loss of movement of the joints. A joint is formed when two different bones meet and arthritis is generally characterized by inflammation of these joints. Arthritis is frequently accompanied by joint pain. Joint pain is referred to as arthralgia. Arthritis may be due to trauma or by the wear and tear of aging. In many forms of arthritis, injury may be caused by the uncontrolled inflammation of autoimmune disease. Arthritis can occur in both males and females and of all ages. Common kinds of Arthritis include:Osteoarthritis - Osteoarthritis is wear and tear arthritis that comes with age or because of improper diet or lifestyle. Rheumatoid Arthritis - Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disorder when the body attacks its own cells, which often results in joint destruction. Rheumatoid arthritis is a major risk factor for heart attack.
